Looking for a holiday featuring sightseeing and sunshine in equal measure? Croatia is the perfect destination! Visit medieval cities, sail around the islands, wander the markets and chic boutiques looking for keepsakes and presents, or simply soak up the sun and relax by the pool or beach while the children play.
2 departure dates – both 7 nights
All inclusive ‘light’ package with flights, all meals, children’s club and evening entertainment
With its traditional charm, mediaeval quaintness, and a stunning Adriatic coastline with more than 1,185 islands, islets and reefs, Croatia definitely lays stake to being one of the most beautiful parts of Europe. Despite the tragedy of the recent war, its charms remain largely intact; most of the tourist areas have been lovingly recreated . Combining a wealth of history, culture and unrivalled natural beauty, Croatia is a truly memorable destination and of course coupled with a comfortable hotel, great pools and entertainment, the children will be happy too!
The climate is Mediterranean along the Adriatic coast, meaning warm dry summers and mild winters, with 2,600 hours of sunlight on average yearly – it is one of the sunniest coastlines in Europe.
We’ll be staying on the Dubrovnik Riviera, a lovely location just a short 1 euro bus ride away from the mediaeval city of Dubrovnik. Dubrovnik has enchanted many of the course of its history, George Bernard Shaw claimed “those who seek paradise on Earth should come to Dubrovnik and see Dubrovnik”, as well as, famously, describing it as “the pearl of the Adriatic”. Dubrovnik truly is a stunning city with its amazing Old Town, which became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1979.
Dubrovnik is clearly special. The baroque buildings , pretty squares and cobbled streets are surrounded by a magnificent circle of city walls . The centre of the old town offers a wide variety of cafés and shops with outstanding monuments at either end. Churches, monasteries and museums ornamented with finely carved stone recall an eventful history and a vibrant artistic tradition. Beyond the city is a heavenly landscape of beaches, wooded peninsulas and a sea strewn with lush islands.
Croatia offers something for everyone. Sightseeing in Dubrovnik, mountain cable cars, island tours, an excursion to the beautiful Montenegro (remember the Daniel Craig James Bond movie?), visits to nearby towns and villages to experience the traditional Croatia, evening beach party…For the active there is also a good measure of quad bike safaris and water sports available.

Whilst this hotel has an official 3 star rating, this can only be because the rooms are slightly compact (although well decorated), the facilities, activities, entertainment, décor and location definitely compare well with many higher rated hotels.

" We had a lovely time and it just what we needed. We were pleased with how we were
free to do as much or as least with the group and there was no pressure or hard sell on
activities etc. It was very comforting to be abroad but part of a group for support where
needed. The highlight? The group, my daughter being happy and Croatia. Beautiful! "
" Jo was a great coordinator, very entertaining, and liked very much by all. "
" Lovely area and perfect hotel for the kids - not too formal that you had to worry.
The highlight? Jack says it was the pool and the inflatables at the beach. For me it was
the trip into Dubrovnik and the walls. The coordinator Jo really did look after us. She was
always there to help when I needed it. "
" Dubrovnik is beautiful, weather was great too. My daughter enjoyed making new friends
and I enjoyed company of others "
" Lovely location, and safe hotel for kids. The highlight? 3 Island Trip and the beach at Sunj "
