An exciting new addition to our holidays for single parents, Lanzarote! We’re thrilled to be taking a trip to this beautiful island the only way we know how, with a group of single parents eager for some rest, relaxation and a bit of sunshine. Treat the kids this Easter and whisk them from the unpredictable torment is our British weather, to the all-year round blissful climate of the Canary Islands.
An ideal family holiday location: the weather is not too hot for little ones, and not too cold for hard-to-please teenagers. Residing in Playa Blanca, one of the newest resorts on the island, is our lovely holiday village hotel – our 4 star home from home for the week. The hotel is just a short, 10 minute walk from the fabulous, golden sands of Papagayo Beaches (the nicest beaches on the island). A 20 minute walk will bring you to the magnificent Marina Rubicon, encircled in bustling restaurants, bars and shops where you’re free to indulge in the lively, local market which is held twice a week.
Lanzarote has a lot of natural beauty to offer – from the Montaña Roja (Red Mountain) which lies at the heart of Playa Blanca, a hike enjoyed by many travelers, aptly names for it’s distinct colour resembling the warm sunset it overlooks – to the volcanic black rock which provide a striking contrast to the white buildings.
The duration of our Playa Blanca holiday is 7 nights, commencing on Wednesday 12th August to Wednesday 19th August 2015.
The cost of the holiday includes flights from London Gatwick. We fly out at 13:50 from Gatwick on Wednesday the 12th and leave Lanzarote at 18:55am on the 19th, arriving back in Gatwick at 23:00
Other regional airports may be available, please email us at email@example.com for information.

At Single With Kids we realise how important it is to have reassurance that your holiday money is safe.
All payments you make to Single With Kids for your holiday are protected, indeed we are the only single parent holiday specialist offering ATOL and ABTA protection for your overseas holiday to ensure you can book with full confidence.
We’re staying in a lovely 4 star hotel, the perfect beach resort, just a short walk to the idyllic Papagayo beaches, which unlike other sun holidays are scarcely populated meaning you won’t be fighting for a spot to put your towel.
When you’ve finished topping up your tan, enjoy some of the incredible facilities available at the resort, including tennis courts, swimming pools, evening entertainment and… the one you’ve been waiting for… a fully equipped spa including Finnish Saunas, Jacuzzis and a Turkish Bath. Where better to unwind after a busy day of, well, unwinding.
The hotel also has a Kids Club, offering supervised fun and games for children of all ages. Activities include a children’s play area, arts & crafts, a mini disco (held at the pool so you can keep an eye from your sun lounger… or join in if the whim should take you) and a treasure hunt among a lot more activities which will keep the kids entertained this Easter.
The hotel boasts a wide range of facilities:
- Kids Club
- Pool Towel Service
- 6 Bars
- Hammocks and Umbrellas
- 24 Hour Reception
- Show Theatre and Disco
- Spa with Sauna
- Tennis Courts
- Wifi in Public Areas
The Canary Island Sun holiday includes flights from London Gatwick (other airports may be available at a supplement, please email firstname.lastname@example.org), return transfers from the airport to the resort as well as all-inclusive accommodation.
The all-inclusive rate includes all meals, snacks, ice creams and cocktails at the resort’s bars and restaurants. Also included are all national drinks in the bars and restaurants from 10am until 11pm. From midnight until 8am you can grab soft drinks and sandwiches at the poolside Snack Grill.
The holiday will be accompanied by a Single With Kids coordinator who will arrange group events and excursions (please note, all events are totally optional and those with admission fees are not included in the price.)
Lanzarote offers a whole range of activities for you and the kids. Being such an impressively compact island (just 37 miles long and 12 miles wide) means that everything is just a stones throw away. The beauty of a single parent holiday is that you can join in on as many or as little as you want.
Why not take a submarine or glass bottom boat trip from the nearby harbour? How about a trip up the volcano, or a tour of the resort by Segway. The Green Caves of Lanzarote prove to be an exciting and adventurous trip, with plenty of opportunities to get some magical photos.
A short journey to Lanzarote A Caballo offers horse and camel rides as well as an Apache playground and restaurant. Thrilling water parks scatter the island, allowing the kids to run wild with their new found friends. On top of that we’ll have the chance to pick up some great souvenirs from the nearby shops and the local, Marina Rubicon market.

As this is a brand new trip we have no location specific testimonials yet, but we're exciting to hear what our single parents get up to on this brilliant Easter holiday break. Below you'll find some testimonials from similar trips we've had.
" This holiday was wonderful, it has given me a new lease of life! The thought of travelling with a baby was daunting at first, but now I have done it I feel that I can conquer anything. It was lovely to be in the company of such nice people and it has boosted my confidence levels. I was able to relax and enjoy my holiday fully. The beach party, the day trips out and the evening drinks by the pool really made it for me. My older son made lots of friends and so did I. I will definitely be going away on the next abroad trip. "
" I like going on holiday with Single With Kids because you get to meet people who are just like you and you realise that you are not the only one whose parents are divorced. "
" The best holiday we've ever been on! "
" This holiday is certainly included on my list of best things I have ever done! Alex had a fabulous time as did I. He always had someone to play with and we both gained a lot from the holiday. I can’t wait to go somewhere with SWK again. We both have some great memories. It was relaxed, weather great, right amount of trips, plenty to do. Good value for money. "
" Booking the next SWK holiday as soon as I get back! "
" This was my first holiday ‘alone’ with my girls. SWK meant that we already had friends waiting for us when we reached the hotel. Everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Amanda was a great co-ordinator and we were made to feel comfortable by the group, immediately. Everyone was able to spend as much time with the group, or not, as they wished. There was plenty of fun and laughter, and I had a relaxing time...a great way to take a holiday as a single parent due to a ready-made support network of other parents in the same position – other people to go to dinner with, and always someone who’ll keep an eye on your kids for 5 minutes if needed. We all had a great time, many thanks SWK! "
" It was a lovely holiday and great that all the parents and children got on so well. My daughter was sad that we only stayed 7 days! The highlight? The lovely people that we shared the holiday with and the fun we all had together. "
" This has been a most enjoyable holiday. We have been luckily to be part of a very friendly group and adults and kids have really got on. Really enjoyed the trips we've done and Debbie's done a sterling job of organising things. Would definitely recommend to other single parent families and am sure we'll be back in the future! "
" We arrive as strangers, yet depart as firm friends. We've had an amazing time, lots of laughter, sun and relaxation. Thanks so much everyone. "
