The hotel is located at the popular mountain resort of Borovetz in Bulgaria, which is 2,000m above sea level on the northern slopes of Rila Mountain and is a modern ski resort only 70km from the capital city, Sofia

1. What is the board basis?
This is on a half board basis – breakfast and evening meal.
2. What is included in the holiday?
The holiday includes flights, transfer to and from the airport in Sophia, 7 half board the 4 * hotel and full ski pacakge with equipment, lift passes and daily ski-school.
3.How big will the group be?
The group will be no bigger than 15 families
4. Which airports fly out to this holiday?
Sofia is served by a lot of the airports in the UK (Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester and Newcastle) The holiday price is based on flights from London. Please contact us for further information on costs for any of the regional airports.
5. When will I receive my tickets?
You will receive your tickets and all other documents between 7 – 10 days before you depart. This will be sent out via email. There will also be an email with further information – who is on your holiday etc around the same time.
6. What is my baggage allowance?
The baggage allowance will be on your tickets. Each airline is different.
7. Does the coordinator meet us at the airport?
With people coming in at different times, the coordinator will meet you in resort.
8. Transfers – what happens when I get to the airport?
The shuttle transfers are available 24 hours a day regardless of flight arrival time. Where possible the holidaymakers on the group flights will be transferred together. Private transfers are available for this holiday at a supplement. All of the details on the transfer will be on your vouchers that are issued with your tickets via email 7 – 10 days before departure – this will also include instructions on how to find your transfer. The hotel from Sofia airport is approximately 45 miles.
9. There is another persons name on my transfer voucher?
This means that that family are on the same transfer as you.
10 Can I add extras on to my flight?
Yes you can. Please contact us for prices. Please note that any requests for extras (in-flight meals, extra leg room etc) will need to be submitted BEFORE the final balance is paid (12 weeks before your holiday)
1.How big is the hotel?
The hotel consists of 157 rooms.
2. What types of rooms are there?
The room types that we have booked are twins that can accommodate families of up to 3 people. There is a possibility that we can get a room for a family of 4+ please contact us for more information. This hotel does not have interconnecting rooms.
3. What facilities do the room have?
All rooms have satellite TV, Hair-dryer on request, Safe (small charge)
4. What is included in the half board rate?
The half board rate includes breakfast and your evening meal dinner. The hotel has 2 restaurants – a buffet style restaurant and also a traditional Bulgarian Mejana – where you can combine food and drink with a Bulgarian show!
5. What facilities are there at the hotel?
The hotel has an indoor swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool and fitness room. It hosts an amazing lounge and bar with open fire places. There is WiFi in all public places and some of the local bars/ restaurants have it too – you will just need to ask for the code.
6. I have a nut allergy – is this an issue?
No, all of the hotels are very accommodating in regards to all food allergies – please let us know if you have any food allergy so that we can let the hotel know. Please note that we nor the hotel can never fully guarantee that the kitchens are totally nut free
7. What is there for the Kids?
After a day on the slopes you will find the children to be very tired! However last year the group did go snow mobiling, horse riding and tobogganing.
8. My flight isn’t till the evening, what are my options?
We can contact the hotel to get a price for a late check out. This all differs on if the room is available for the next day. There is luggage holding facilities.
There is a range of all levels of slopes – including a number of ‘black’ ones!! Altitude at resort: 1350m Altitude of highest ski run: 2560m Longest ski run: 6km (green/easy)
1. What other activities are there and how much will they cost?
More detailed information on this will be coming soon – this is so that we can give you a better idea of the costs. There is a free shuttle to and from the slopes every 20 mins. It is a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the resort centre and ski lift.
2. What is the currency there?
It is Lev (BGN) – you can buy this from exchange offices in the UK The currency rate is approximately 1 GBP = 2.3 BGN You can also exchange money at the hotel. Travellers cheques aren’t easily transferred in Bulgaria. There are many ATMs with in walking distance. Please check with your bank for up to date information about withdrawal charges (some banks don’t charge but it is better to check!)
3. How much money should I take out with me?
You will need money for your lunch, any of the extras that you wish to do and any gifts that you wish to buy. The cost of ski equipment, lift passes and ski lessons is included.
4. What plug adapter will I need?
Bulgaria uses the same two pin plug that you would find throughout Europe.
5. What is the time difference?
The local time in Bulgaria is GMT + 2
6. What languages are spoken there?
The main language is Bulgarian.
